The 2026-27 Antarctica season has been unveiled, featuring 27 unique voyages, including special expeditions tailored for adventurers, photographers, science enthusiasts, and women travelers.
New offerings include a 10-day “Taste of Antarctica” itinerary and specialized trips such as Women’s Only expeditions, Photography Voyages, and New Scientist Discovery Tours.
The journeys range from nine to 34 days, covering destinations like the Antarctic Peninsula, East Antarctica, the Ross Sea, South Georgia, and the Falklands~Malvinas. Popular itineraries, such as “Spirit of Antarctica” and “South Georgia, Falklands, and Antarctic Odyssey” will also make a return.
Michael Heath, the CEO, highlighted that these expeditions aim to inspire and foster connections with Antarctica’s stunning landscapes. The new itineraries and themed journeys, including Women’s Only trips and collaborations with New Scientist, provide diverse opportunities to explore the region’s beauty, science, and adventure.
Photography Expeditions, led by expert photographers, feature Zodiac cruises, shore excursions, and skill-enhancing workshops for both professional camera and smartphone users. Key highlights include:
- Spirit of Antarctica: A 12-day journey (Dec. 7–18, 2026) in collaboration with New Scientist Discovery Tours, offering workshops and wildlife experiences, departing from Ushuaia aboard the Douglas Mawson.
- Wild Antarctica Featuring the Weddell Sea: A 13-day voyage (March 2–14, 2027) exploring ice formations, fossils, and wildlife, departing from Punta Arenas aboard the Sylvia Earle.
- Antarctic Women’s Expedition: Fly the Drake: A 10-day, female-led trip (Feb. 23–March 4, 2027) celebrating women in conservation, departing from Punta Arenas aboard the Sylvia Earle.
- Taste of Antarctica: Two 10-day sailings (Feb. 9–18, 2027, and March 11–20, 2027) focusing on Antarctica’s wildlife and landscapes, aboard the Douglas Mawson and Greg Mortimer.
Additionally, photography-focused expeditions include a 12-day journey led by Nigel Danson (February 2026) aboard the Greg Mortimer and another guided by Scott Portelli (January 2027) aboard the Sylvia Earle, departing from Punta Arenas or Ushuaia.
