Across the Antarctic Circle

Explore below the Antarctic Circle for more than just bragging rights. It's a chance to see a world that is rarely visited, colder, and isolated. Explore the ice pack and narrow channels to see ice-clad mountain ranges, whale feeding, vibrant penguin colony, and ice-covered mountains.

Day by day

Day 1: Ushuaia
After being welcomed, you will be transferred with other expedition members to the hotel where your trip is going to begin. Check-in begins at 3.00pm if you are already in Ushuaia. Between 3.00pm and 7.00pm, visit the Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort hospitality desk to pick up luggage tags and confirm your participation in Beagle Channel Cruise and Isla de Los Lobos Cruise. Check-in for expeditions that arrive after 7 pm includes a welcome package. Arriving later, please visit the desk tomorrow between 8.00am and 10.00am. Today, you can relax and enjoy your leisure. All meals will be at no cost to you.
Accommodation assigned: Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort, or Los Acebos Ushuaia Hotel.
Day 2: Beagle Channel

Breakfast and checkout this morning. Make sure your luggage is clearly marked with your name, cabin number and other details. Transfer it to reception at the hotel for storage, and then transfer to port. Always keep valuables on you.

Enjoy the day at your leisure exploring Ushuaia.

Meet at your hotel at 12:15 pm for the transfer at 12.30pm to the port. Cruisers explore the Beagle Channel and pass the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, while watching imperial cormorants and sea lions.

You can also enjoy your leisure time, and then meet in the lobby of the hotel at 3.30pm or 3.00pm at the parking area at the Pier for the embarkation.

As soon as you arrive, check into your room before the mandatory briefings. Gather on deck to enjoy the views of Ushuaia as the ship leaves. A welcome dinner is held to commemorate the Antarctic expedition with other expeditioners, crew, and the expedition team.

Day 3 & 4: Drake Passage
Day 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12: Antarctic Peninsula & Antarctic Circle
Day 13 & 14: South Shetland Islands
Day 15: Ushuaia

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.
Photography
Photography
Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.
Explorer Boats
Explorer Boats
Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.
Yoga
Yoga
It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
