The explorers discover penguin colonies during their journey while they observe massive icebergs floating in restricted water passages and they watch whales emerge from the freezing ocean. The South Shetland Islands along with the Antarctic Peninsula become visible through guided exploration which demonstrates their striking terrain and untouched natural environment. The polar adventure provides an eleven-day experience which lets travelers discover nature while viewing animals and enjoying breathtaking views.

Day by day

Day 1: Discover Ushuaia, the World’s Southernmost City

Your expedition begins in Ushuaia, a remote port city surrounded by the dramatic wilderness of Tierra del Fuego. The southernmost region of Argentina contains Ushuaia which functions as the main entry point for travelers who want to explore Antarctica. Visitors can explore its beautiful waterfront area while learning about its seafaring past and taking in stunning views of the Beagle Channel together with the surrounding mountain peaks. The city displays an adventurous nature because it functions as the gateway for expeditions which head to the southernmost regions. The expedition group will meet for its first briefing during the later hours of the day when staff members will deliver essential information about what lies ahead and provide an exciting preview of Antarctic nature and wildlife which awaits them.

Day 2: Departure Through the Beagle Channel

The expedition reaches its official beginning when travelers step onto their vessel which will transport them to the Antarctic continent. The ship leaves Ushuaia to navigate through the historical Beagle Channel which features towering mountains and uninhabited islands. The journey toward Antarctica becomes real when the coastline slowly fades into the distance. The ship's expedition team becomes known to travelers during orientation sessions which also teach them about polar travel operations. Passengers gather on deck to watch seabirds which fly above the water while they enjoy their view of Patagonia's rough southern terrain. Sea Kayaking

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Ice Camping

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Snowshoeing

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.

Photography

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Explorer Boats

Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.

Yoga

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
