Day by day

Day 1: Ushuaia

A representative will meet you at Ushuaia and transfer to the hotel where you'll stay before your trip. You can check in at your hotel if you are already in Ushuaia. Check-in starts at 3 pm. Visit the Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort hospitality desk between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm in the afternoon to receive luggage tags and confirm participation for the Beagle Channel & Isla de Los Lobos Cruise tomorrow. They will answer questions, provide information about dining and last-minute shopping, as well as give details on embarkation.

The hospitality desk is open between 8 am and 10 am for those arriving after 7 pm.

All meals today are self-funded. Today, all meals are on your own.

Accommodations assigned: Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort, or Los Acebos Ushuaia Hotel.

Day 2: Embarkation

Breakfast and checkout in the morning. Make sure your luggage is tagged with your name, cabin number and the airline. Take your luggage to the reception of the hotel by 11:00am for direct transport to the port and storage. Always keep valuables on you.
Enjoy a morning tour of Ushuaia at your pace.

Meet at the lobby of the hotel at 12:15pm for the 12:30pm transfer to the harbor. Sailing the Beagle Channel and observing cormorants, sea lions, and other bird species. Meet at the lobby of the hotel at 3pm (or at 3:30pm at the parking area near the pier), to transfer to the pier.

As soon as you arrive on board, check into your room before the mandatory briefings. As the ship leaves, gather on deck to enjoy the breathtaking view of Ushuaia or Tierra del Fuego.

Join fellow adventurers, friendly team members, and crew at a welcoming dinner to mark the start of your exciting Antarctica journey.

Activities

Sea Kayaking

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Ice Camping

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Snowshoeing

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.

Photography

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Explorer Boats

Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.

Yoga

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
