On this 21-day epic voyage, join us on the well-appointed and spacious Ocean Endeavour as we introduce you to the wonders and mysteries of Antarctic Peninsula South Georgia and Falkland Island. It is an adventure of a lifetime that appeals to history lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and photographers. We follow the path of Sir Ernest Shackleton's heroic expedition, which began with a series of days spent in the snow and ice on the Antarctic Peninsula. Then, via Elephant Island, we travel north to South Georgia, an archipelago that is rugged, beautiful, and full of adventure. On this isolated island, the magnificent King Penguins gather - hundreds of thousands covering beaches to the eye's distance. South Georgia has the highest concentration of wildlife anywhere on Earth, and is also the resting place for Shackleton. The Falkland Island's wind-swept colonies and rolling hills await our journey to the west. We will enjoy the white sands of Stanley, a cold beer and learn about this archipelago.

Day by day

Day 1 & 2: Ushuaia, Argentina

The Beagle Channel, named after the ship on which Charles Darwin traveled through this area on his famous voyages of discovery, will be the first thing you see as your plane approaches Ushuaia. In this picturesque seaside town, the trip to South Georgia or the Antarctica begins.
Arriving at Ushuaia Airport please proceed to the Arrivals hall where the representative is waiting to take you to your Hotel. The representative will hold a sign. If you are unable to reach them, contact our local representative.

Enjoy a meal at one of many local restaurants, or hike up to Martial Glacier for sweeping views of surrounding mountains and valleys. The Ocean Endeavour will take you from the wharf of Ushuaia to the Beagle Channel, where the afternoon is spent admiring the wildlife and pastel colors.

Day 3 & 4: At Sea

You can also take advantage of Ocean Endeavour’s panoramic view of southern skies, including the albatross. The wanderers will lead us to our next destination, while lectures in geology, biology, ornithology and glaciology will help you understand the remote wilderness. .

Day 5, 6, 7 & 8: South Shetlands & Antarctica

Day 9 & 10: At Sea

Day 11, 12, 13 & 14 : South Georgia

Day 15 & 16 : At Sea

Day 17 & 18: Falkland Islands

Activities

Sea Kayaking

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Ice Camping

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Snowshoeing

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.

Photography

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Explorer Boats

Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.

Yoga

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
