Before you set sail, learn more about the Antarctic continent by visiting the International Antarctic Centre, a $50 million facility on the coast of Punta Arenas. The Antarctic Peninsula awaits you after two days of watching albatross, scanning for whales in the Drake Passage and admiring the mountains and icebergs on the horizon. You can kayak alongside humpbacks, visit the penguin colony on the west peninsula and marvel at glaciers of incredible size. You will spend five days on immersive expeditions across South Shetland Islands, continental Antarctica and the South Shetland Islands. Then you'll return to Ushuaia and complete your trip with a hike along the glacier and an alpine inspired tour.

Day by day

Day 1 & 2 : Punta Arenas, Chile
Please proceed to the Arrivals hall at Punta Arenas Airport where you will find our representative waiting to take you to your Hotel. The representative will hold a sign. If you are unable to reach them, contact our local representative.
Explore the charm of Punta Arenas and its rugged coast on the historical Strait of Magellan. The town was built on the Patagonian Wool Export Industry, but now its splendour is a result of a focus shift to facilitate Antarctic exploration and scientific research. The Punta Arenas Post Office is where Sir Robert Falcon Scott wrote his 400 letters to announce his return from Antarctica. It was also here that Ernest Shackleton, his crew and Sir Robert Falcon Scott celebrated the end of the Endurance expedition. All of this and much more can be found in the newly constructed $50million International Antarctic Centre. The museum, which is decorated with an ice facade in homage to Shackleton and his adventurous spirit, will provide a great opportunity for you to discover the history of the ice and the animals on your journey.
The Ocean Endeavour is waiting at the port for us to cross the Strait of Magellan and then turn south towards the famous Drake Passage.
Day 3 & 4: At Sea, Drake Passage
The rare albatross, along with other birds of the sea will accompany our ship to the continent. The Ocean Endeavour bridge is a comfortable viewing platform for whales, dolphins and marine mammals. Our onboard experts will introduce you to Antarctica through workshops and lectures. The expedition team will tell tales about their adventures in the South and invite you to meet your fellow passengers at the bar.
Day 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9: Antarctic Peninsula
