Day by day

Day 1: Oslo

Oslo has been named "Green Capital of Europe 2019". Staying in an Oslo Airport hotel will allow you to easily get on your second day flight from Longyearbyen.

If you're adventurous and have the time, take the airport train into central Oslo. The trains depart and arrive all day. Oslo Central Station has shops, cafés, the Botanical Garden, and other cultural attractions.

Day 2: Longyearbyen

Today you will take a regular flight to Longyearbyen, the administrative center of Svalbard and our starting point for Arctic Expedition. We will meet you at Longyearbyen Airport, and then transfer you to dock for the voyage. Explore your ship and your suite after you have set up your room. It will be your home for the next couple of days. Once the ship has departed, your expedition team will give you briefings and introductions as well as a list of scheduled activities. After the delicious first dinner, step out onto the decks to take in the stunning scenery as well as the endless night lights. We will be sailing through Isfjorden, one of Svalbard’s largest fjords.

Day 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11: Spitsbergen

Day 12: Longyearbyen

Activities

Sea Kayaking

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Ice Camping

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Snowshoeing

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.
