Begin a 17-day adventure commencing in Santiago, Chile, where you'll immerse yourself in the city's museums and culinary offerings. Travel to Punta Arenas to embark on the MS Maud, sailing through the Beagle Channel towards Antarctica passing Cape Horn.

Experience Antarctica's impressive icebergs, vast glaciers, and diverse wildlife such as penguins and seals. Journey back via the Drake Passage, concluding with a final day exploring the Chilean Fjords before returning to Punta Arenas.

Day by day

Day 1: Santiago

Your journey begins with an overnight stay in Santiago, the dynamic cultural center of Chile. Boasting numerous museums, stunning architecture, and dining venues, the city epitomizes a South American capital in every way. There are countless attractions to discover, ensuring that the only limitation is time itself. If you have the opportunity, don't miss the chance to visit the Mercado Central fish market to sample the traditional Chilean seafood stew, caldillo de congrio.

With so much to see and do in the city, those interested in further exploring Santiago are encouraged to arrive a few days early and consider joining one of the optional Pre-Programs.

Day 2: Punta Arenas
Leave Santiago early in the morning for Punta Arenas, the principal city in Chilean Patagonia. This captivating destination is steeped in old-world allure and offers surprises around every corner. Situated as one of the southernmost cities in the world, Punta Arenas is genuinely distinctive.

Upon reaching Punta Arenas, you'll embark on the expedition vessel MS Maud. All guests will attend a mandatory health and safety briefing. Following this, you'll have the chance to meet the crew and Expedition Team, who will be your guides, hosts, and fellow explorers during the expedition.
Day 3: Rivers of Ice
Day 4 & 5: Beagle Channel, Cape Horn & the Drake Passage
Day 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13: The Seventh Continent
Day 14 & 15: Voyage back north
Day 16: The beauty of the Chilean fjords
Day 17: The end of your adventure

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.
Photography

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Explorer Boats
Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.
Yoga

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
