Extended Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctic Circle

The polar expedition explores the most distant Southern Hemisphere locations which host the highest concentration of wildlife in their natural environment. The journey begins at Ushuaia which sits at the southernmost point of South America before traveling through the Falkland Islands and the Southern Ocean to reach South Georgia and then Antarctica's icy landscapes.

The journey brings travelers to huge seabird nesting areas while they also get to visit sites from historic explorations and experience stunning polar views which glaciers and floating icebergs have created. The expedition moves into deep Antarctic waters which lead to the Antarctic Circle before it heads back north through the Drake Passage to finish a memorable journey across one of Earth's remaining wild areas.

Day by day

Day 1: Discovering Ushuaia, the Southern Gateway
The expedition starts at Ushuaia which stands between the snow-covered Andes mountains and the peaceful Beagle Channel waters. The southernmost city on Earth exists as a lively port town which serves as a starting point for Antarctic exploration. Visitors can spend their time exploring the city's charming streets while they visit the waterfront and museums which display exhibits about maritime heritage and polar exploration history. Ushuaia stands between forested areas and glacier-covered mountains which create its stunning Tierra del Fuego natural environment. The expedition team members will receive their first orientation at the end of the day which prepares them for the upcoming adventure.
Day 2: Embarkation and Departure from Tierra del Fuego
The morning presents its last chance for visitors to experience Ushuaia through a peaceful visit. People who visit the area often spend their time walking through the harbor while they visit various small shops and view the mountain scenery around them. The expedition vessel receives its passengers during afternoon boarding when they move into their cabins before the ship starts its southern voyage. The Beagle Channel reveals stunning views which stretch across its entire length because the waterway passes through areas that contain both dense forests and steep rocky mountains. The ship shifts its passengers from their waiting state into full excitement when the journey starts its official beginning. The ship moves toward the Southern Ocean as seabirds start to show up in the sky where they glide through the winds.
