This journey will take you on a unique experience, as every sunrise paints the sky with gold hues and each encounter is filled with Arctic wildlife.

Day 1: Longyearbyen

Discover your Arctic adventure and follow in their footsteps today!

Longyearbyen, the administrative center of Svalbard and the starting point of our Arctic Expedition.

We will assist you with your hotel transfer. Our staff speaks German and is happy to help. The town center is yours to explore at will.

Svalbard Museum is the perfect place to start your exploration of this amazing Norwegian High Arctic Region. You'll also find books and maps on polar exploration. In one of Longyearbyen’s many restaurants, you can enjoy a tasty meal.

The Midnight Sun will be a fascinating experience as evenings begin to draw in. Svalbard will be lit up all day long. Enjoy the sunshine until the late hours of the night if the weather allows. Close the curtains at night and get a good rest to prepare for your next adventure.

Day 2: The North Pole Expedition Museum

Start your morning with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy an exhilarating tour through the city while your luggage is transported in the morning to the ship.
You can refresh your memories of the often-dangerous expeditions by visiting the North Pole Expedition Museum. This will give you a good idea about what to expect on the tour.

You will then have time to shop or enjoy a meal at one of the many cafes or restaurants in Longyearbyen. Your parka will be delivered soon. It is yours. You can also borrow boots that are waterproof on board the ship.

Now it's time to depart! It won't look like an Amundsen airship or hydroplane. Instead, we will be aboard the expedition ship in Longyearbyen. Then you'll be driven to a port, where your ship will await. Explore your ship and settle into your suite. Your home on your extraordinary voyage.

Your team of experts in expeditions will begin a full program of briefings and lectures as soon as you board the ship. After the first tasty dinner, enjoy the stunning scenery that is the 24-hour daylight.

Activities

Sea Kayaking

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Ice Camping

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Snowshoeing

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.

Photography

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Explorer Boats

Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.

Yoga

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
