The trip takes travelers through beautiful fishing towns and unspoiled coastal areas which house important sites from North America's first European explorers.

The island shows its multiple personalities through visits to St. John’s bustling city center and the Viking settlement at L’Anse aux Meadows and Gros Morne National Park's stunning natural beauty. The journey through Canada’s stunning maritime territory becomes more interesting when you experience the wild Labrador shoreline and explore the French heritage in St. Pierre.

Day by day

Day 1: St. John’s: Gateway to Newfoundland

The journey begins in St. John’s, a vibrant harbor city known for its colorful row houses and deep maritime traditions. The city sits at the Atlantic Ocean's boundary because it has served as a station for ocean explorers and fishing crews and tourist visitors throughout many centuries. The narrow streets and lively waterfront create an energetic atmosphere that reflects Newfoundland’s unique cultural identity. The ship begins its journey through the harbor while the towering cliffs which protect the city start to fade from view. The evening provides an excellent chance to unwind while you watch the North Atlantic from above during your start of an amazing journey around Canada's most beautiful island.

Day 2: Exploring the Seaside Town of Twillingate

The community of Twillingate resides in Notre Dame Bay while it stands as one of Newfoundland’s most beloved seaside towns. The harbor contains fishing vessels which share the waters with colorful residential buildings that stretch across the rocky slopes above. The town has deep roots in Newfoundland’s fishing heritage, and its streets reveal a strong sense of local pride and culture. Visitors can explore beautiful seaside paths while they discover artistic exhibits and browse through boutique stores which display handmade creations from area craftsmen. The worldwide reputation of Twillingate stems from its amazing opportunities to view icebergs in the area. The area becomes a perfect spot for taking pictures and watching animals because of the massive ice formations which pass through the nearby waters.

Activities

Sea Kayaking

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Ice Camping

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Snowshoeing

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.

Photography

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Explorer Boats

Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.

Yoga

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
