South Georgia & Antarctic Odyssey

This journey will take you from the Antarctic Peninsula all the way to South Georgia. Stanley is a historic town in the FalklandsMalvinas. Visit South Georgia and see one of the world's largest colonies king penguins. Antarctica offers tranquility, beauty and wonder. It is possible to see penguins hatching, whales migrating into krill-rich waters or ice seals lying on the ice.

Day by day

Day 1: Ushuaia

An official will meet you at the airport and take you to your pre-voyage accommodations with other adventurers. If you have already arrived in Ushuaia, check-in starts at 3pm. Visit the Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort's hospitality desk between 3pm and 7pm to collect luggage tags and confirm your participation on the Beagle Channel & Isla de Los Lobos Cruise. Get answers to all your questions and information on the Beagle Channel & Isla de Los Lobos Cruise. Check-in will be available for those arriving after 7:00pm. Please visit the Hospitality Desk in the morning between 8am and 10am. You are responsible for all meals. You can spend the rest of your day at leisure. Accommodation assigned: Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort, or Los Acebos Ushuaia Hotel.

Day 2: Embarkation

Drop your luggage at reception by 11:00am after checking out the next morning. The luggage is transported to the port directly and placed in your cabin. Keep valuables with you. Meet at the hotel at 1215pm to take the transfer at 12:30pm. Explore Beagle Channel or visit the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, which is home to a sea lion colony. Meeting at the hotel lobby at 3pm, or 3:30pm for a shuttle will be given.

Check in to your room as soon as possible after you arrive. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the deck of Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego, as well as the departure of your ship. Start your exciting Antarctica adventure with a welcome dinner on the ship.

Activities

Sea Kayaking

Under full instruction from your sea kayaking guide, experience true tranquillity as you paddle through clinking ice floes and realise the enormity of the surrounding scenery. Look out for breaching whales, lounging seals and penguins zipping alongside your kayak. Some experience is required.

Ice Camping

Camp out on the ice and experience the silence which blankets the continent by night. This is your chance to completely connect with this ethereal ice world – wrap up warm and embrace the Antarctic elements.

Snowshoeing

Get a spring in your step when you slip on a pair of snowshoes in Antarctica. Enabling you to easily scale gentle slopes, this unique activity allows you to access hard to reach places and seek out the most impressive views.

Photography

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Explorer Boats

Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.

Yoga

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
