Weather Preparedness
Arctic weather conditions can change quickly throughout the voyage. Temperatures during August generally range from just below freezing to cool mild conditions, often accompanied by strong winds, fog, and occasional rain. Travelers should dress in multiple layers, including thermal base layers, insulated mid-layers, and waterproof outerwear. Gloves, scarves, warm hats, and waterproof footwear are highly recommended for outdoor excursions and Zodiac landings. Fitness Requirements
This expedition requires a moderate level of physical fitness. Guests should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain, boarding and disembarking small expedition boats, and standing for extended periods during wildlife observation activities.
