Travel Tips: Bring binoculars for better wildlife viewing opportunities Pack a camera with a zoom lens for photographing distant animals and landscapes Dress in multiple layers to adapt to changing Arctic temperatures Use waterproof and windproof outerwear for excursions and deck viewing Wear sturdy footwear suitable for uneven terrain and wet conditions Keep gloves, hats, and thermal accessories easily accessible during outings Follow expedition team instructions during all shore landings and wildlife encounters Weather Preparedness: Arctic weather conditions can shift rapidly throughout the expedition. Travelers should prepare for cold temperatures, strong winds, rain, and occasional snowfall even during the summer season. Layered clothing is highly recommended, beginning with thermal base layers and topped with insulated and waterproof outer garments. Gloves, scarves, hats, and waterproof boots are essential for comfort during outdoor excursions. Sunglasses are also recommended to reduce glare from ice, snow, and reflective water surfaces. Being properly prepared ensures a safer and more enjoyable Arctic experience. Fitness Requirements: This expedition is suitable for travelers with a moderate level of fitness. Activities may include walking on uneven or rocky terrain, boarding small tender boats, and spending extended periods outdoors in cold weather conditions. Participants should be comfortable moving independently, maintaining balance on shifting surfaces, and participating in guided excursions at a relaxed pace. While no advanced physical training is required, good mobility and stamina will help guests fully enjoy the Arctic experience.

Day by day

Day 1: Embarkation - Tromsø
Your Arctic adventure begins in Tromsø, a vibrant city located well above the Arctic Circle and often referred to as the “Paris of the North.” Surrounded by majestic mountains and deep fjords, Tromsø offers a fascinating blend of modern Arctic culture and dramatic natural scenery. Upon boarding the expedition vessel, you will settle into your cabin and become familiar with the ship’s facilities before departure. As the ship sails away from the harbor, stunning coastal landscapes unfold around you, setting the tone for the remarkable journey ahead. Throughout the evening, the expedition team will introduce the itinerary, safety procedures, and wildlife opportunities you may encounter during the voyage. Guests will have time to meet fellow travelers while enjoying panoramic views of Norway’s rugged northern coastline. This first day serves as a transition from city life into the vast and remote Arctic wilderness, creating anticipation for the unforgettable experiences awaiting farther north.
Day 2: Gjesvær & Skarsvåg (Nordkapp)
The day begins with a visit to the small fishing village of Gjesvær, gateway to the spectacular Gjesværstappan Nature Reserve.
